What is heart disease

The heart is a crucial organ in our body and it beats about 2.5 billion times over the average lifetime as it pushes millions of gallons of blood to all the part of the body. The heart has numerous functions it does for the body like an exchange of oxygen, hormones, removal of waste products and many more throughout the body.
Cardiovascular disease may occur in the body through poor or lack of exercise, infection, smoking, unlucky genes and so on. Some of the heart diseases that can occur in the body are coronary artery disease, heart attack, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, congenital heart disease, etc.
