According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), there no linkage has been established between mercury and colon cancer. It is misperceptions that mercury contributes to a higher risk of cancer.

On the other hand, high levels of mercury can harm the immune system, brain, lungs, heart, and kidney but there is no authentic human data that mercury causes cancer.
