Lymphoma. What are the types and symptoms of lymphoma?


Lymphoma is the cancer of the lymph system and can start almost anywhere in the body. Hodgkin lymphoma affects the lymph tissue anywhere in the body and it can spread from the lymph tissue to other organs in the body. Hodgkin lymphoma affects people in their late 20s or older than 50. Hodgkin lymphoma is also common among men than women and it affects whites more than any other races.

The two main types of lymphoma are

  • Hodgkin lymphoma
  • non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Symptoms of Lymphoma
The main symptom of both Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma is the swollen lymph nodes in the neck, groin or under the arms. Other symptoms are fever, extreme fatigue, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss.
